User Requirements

Updated:

A brief explanation of what hardware and software a user must be on for the optimal experience.

The Tecton suite of products abides by the standard Q2 User Requirements, which contains information about hardware and software requirements, browser support, and assistive technology support for many, but not all, of our products. We abide by this to the best of our ability to maintain support for our broadest range of users and products.

All requirements are specific to the end-user, not the developers building features and tools with Tecton.

The following sections are subject to change without notice.

System Requirements

End-users must be using a computer that has:

  1. Microsoft Windows 10 or later or Mac OS X 10.15 or later.
  2. Available browser updates applied for improved security that provide anti-virus and spyware protection.
  3. An internet connection with a minimum of 1 Mbps download speed.

Browser Requirements

End-users are expected to use one of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome (Recommended)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge (Windows only)
  • Apple Safari (macOS Only)

Note: We support each of these browsers' current and previous two major releases.

Accessibility and Assistive Technology

Accessibility is an important category of work that we focus on, not just on Tecton, but across Q2. That is why we focus on and are continually improving the accessibility of our products.

Our vision is to provide a best-in-class, usable, accessible, and valuable experience to all users, including those with disabilities. As such, we are committed to pursuing compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA in the tools we provide.

Additionally, the following is a list of the assistive technologies we officially aim to support in this effort:

  • Windows
    • JAWS (Chrome)
    • NVDA (Chrome)
    • Narrator (Edge)
  • VoiceOver (Safari)
  • TalkBack (Chrome)
